DESIGN PROCESS
The process begins with a photography session: carried out either by the artist herself or you, the client (or client’s photographer). From these photographs you are asked to select your 2 favourite images. You then choose two favourite colour background options from a selection of 6. Based on your selection of colour and pose, the artist will create two paintings in acrylic on paper measuring 22 x 30 inches. The painting on paper that you like the best will be the basis for the final work in oil on canvas.
Children between the ages of 1 and 14 are the preferred age for portraits. An infant below the age of one will not possess the fully-formed facial features or expressions that will be easily identifiable when that child ages. A teenager older than 14 is very likely to be overly self-critical and self-conscious of any portait of themselves.

Any “Say cheese!” or giggling pictures will not be included. The photos are the basis for a serious work of art that will exude a classic timlessness and dignity in your home.
The finished oil painting is offered in several size options. Your painting arrives ready to hang—stretched canvas over a custom made wooden frame. You may add a decorative frame if you like.
As a complimentary gift you will also be given the two works created on paper to frame as you wish.
